Each dollar contributed towards your "Father of the Year" is most appreciated. Be sure to mention the name of your "Father."
Born and raised in Bainet, Haiti, Jean-Marc Sorel immigrated to Miami, Florida in pursuit of his dreams and a better life. Having arrived in Miami on January 1, 2000, he did not waste any time to hit the ground running; he enrolled in English classes for a couple of years at the North Miami Adult Education Center. His passion for learning, personal development, and growth was a key factor in his desire for academic success at various levels. He attended Gold Coast School of Real Estate, Miami Dade College, Broward College, and Tax Wise University. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Management at Florida International University. He aspires to complete a double degree at the prestigious University of Miami (Master of Business Administration—MBA and Juris Doctor—JD) soon.
With little or no support, Jean had to work to stay in school. In 2002, he started working with Ocean View International Realty as an assistant to a realtor; in 2002 he got his Real Estate Sales Associate License and started working for that same company as a realtor. Six years later in 2009, Jean started his own company - First Class Income Tax Services, Inc.; in 2010, he started First Class Real Estate, LLC and started First Class Insurance Services, Inc. in 2014. Jean is now the President and CEO of First-Class Enterprise, a Real Estate Broker, a Registered Tax Return Preparer, and a General Insurance Agent, among other things.
There is no slowing down for Jean, he continues to rise through the ranks professionally and personally. He now owns the largest Haitian Real Estate Firm in the entire State of Florida and is always looking to hire new agents. His goal is to open as many branches of his Real Estate Firm as possible in Florida and beyond.
Jean believes that the best way to find oneself is to lose oneself in the service of others. After over fifteen years of planning, the dream of starting a non-profit organization has become a reality. He started the non-profit (Organisation Professionelle pour le Development Educatif de Bainet—OPDEB) to help open a Technical School back where he came from (Bainet, Haiti) and to give scholarships/grants to students here in the United States. Now, for the first time, Bainet finally has its very own technical school. Some classes offered at the school are Construction, Tailoring, Bakery, Plumbing, Electricity, Computer Tech, Mechanics, and Basic English.
Jean wants to remind everyone that success in life does not necessarily mean fame and fortune. It’s about fulfilling your dreams and God-given potential, growing steadily, and learning more about yourself at every stage of your life. He knows that he cannot change the whole world but in his small and humble way can create a spark that will warm the heart of someone, a ripple that will become a wave, and the reason someone out their smiles with hope in their eyes.
The International Fathers’ Association members congratulate JEAN-MARC SOREL and wish him well in his future endeavors.
